I have watched this film about three times now, and decided it was time to have my own copy, as not as many libraries have it in their collections. The filming of a Welsh mining town, the scenery of the whole place, the houses and the scenes in the pit itself are just magnificent. It is a wonderful, but heartbreaking story.

wonderful!
I loved this movie. I have been looking for it for years. This is a wonderful movie of a family of all boys and one daughter. It tells of their everyday life in a coal mining village and all the up's and down's they go through. It's a love story, a coming of age story, a comedy in parts too. I just can't say enough about the movie. It's one of those you can never see too much of. It has something for ALL ages. You'll laugh and cry. It's one of those movies that makes you glad your alive in the end, just so you can see it again! It truley touches every emotion.
