Very Good+ in Partial jacket. Small 4to. 1932 First US Edition. Stated on copyright page "Published November 1932" and 1932 is also printed on the title page. VERY GOOD+ in FAIR, price-intact dust jacket. A clean, unmarked and well-bound copy in unusually well-preserved black and silver hardcover. Dust jacket survives though spine is mostly perished. Pages are very good; light marginal toning but pages complete, no tears, creases or chips. All page edges tinted black. Cloth hardcover with striking design of silver and black. Cover is clean, lightly rubbed along edges, corners and spine ends, slight fray to bottom of spine. Slight toning along spine and hinges, a few small brown specks to spine. Dust jacket is clean, 4.75 price intact on front flap, but it is heavily edgeworn with significant chipping along the front top edge, half inch missing from most of top rear edge, spine mostly perished. Type on front panel is intact, flaps intact. Jacket is in a clear archival protector. Boards straight and binding is firm, hinges intact, no cracks or splits. A generously illustrated "glimpse into the not far-distant future" by the designer of the 1939 New York World's Fair "Futurama." Black & white photos, plans and drawings of Geddes' sleek and innovative creations. Included is a copy of the original 24-page World's Fair "Futurama" pamphlet which measures 8-1/4 x 7." Pamphlet has some scuffing on front cover but is otherwise near fine. Book measures 8 x 10-1/2" with [xix] + 293 pages.
