According to a recent article in our March 2005 issue of Nursing Clinics, there continues to be a lack of knowledge regarding treatments for patients who have HIV or AIDS among nurses who do not specialize in HIV care. Several new topics included by Dr. Wesley in this issue are an epidemiology update that focuses on men and HIV, nutrition and physiological changes in persons with HIV, and international data as part of some of the articles.
