In October, 1900, it entertained the second state confer ence of the Ohio Daughters of the American Revolution. The Columbus papers of that date devoted several columns daily to a chronicle of the proceedings and the brilliant social functions given in connection with the occasion. Through the courtesy of Governor Nash the meetings were held in the senate chamber of the statehouse. The historic old room waslavishly decorated with flags and the national and society colors and the portraits of George and Martha Washington smiled down upon the visiting Daughters.
