Mr. Dorweiler began his career with a definite purpose and despite obstacles and difiiculties followed his course with the earnest determination to succeed and achieved his ambition by persistent effort. E. D. LOVELL. E. D. Lovell is one of the representative business men of Luverne, where he is successfully engaged in the furniture and undertaking business. He was born May 2, 1884, in Iowa, and a sketch of his parents appears elsewhere in this history. He was reared in his parents' home and received his elementary education in the public schools of the district in which he lived, and after passing through the lower grades was later graduated from the high school at Luverne. He afterward pursued a commercial course in the Capital City Commercial College, of Des Moines, and immediately afterward returned to Luverne and engaged in the gnocery business for a short time. He then accepted the position as manager of the Pfund Grain Company and in that service he continued for a period of two years, after which he purchased a furniture stock in Luverne, to which business he added an undertaking department. To the conduct of these interests he has since devoted his entire attention. He is also the owner of twenty acres of land in Columbia county, Florida. Mr. Lovell was married on April 20, 1912, to Miss Ilo Sherburn, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He is affiliated with the democratic party and served as a member of the town council for two years.
