Good. Contains many illustrations, a hand-colored frontis and title page vignette. "We have aimed to give prominence to men who practised the virtues of Christianity. " Includes a brief history of each state in the Union, including Michigan (including depiction of state seal). About half of the historical events related are in verse, and about half are in narrative form. Original blind stamped covers worn, joints split, but holding. Scattered foxing, old owner blind stamp name on title page lacking free end papers. Large owner names in pencil on front and rear end papers. This a serviceable copy, with a good bit of cover wear, but tight with some foxing and age spotting to text. Ref: Not in Sabin, but possibly a later printing of Sabin 3320; B&W Illustrations; 12mo 7"-7½" tall; 227 pages.
