If you saw the movie, the movie is better.. The book explains things a lot better and has a great ending, however. The main problem with the book is the repetition: every time the fliers land, they are taken into custody by someone who threatens them. Only once would have been sufficient.
Anyway, reading about Eve Tozer put a picture of Bess Armstrong in my mind.
