Not as riveting of a read as his other books
Hidden Order was just not as good of a read as his other books. If you're new to Brad Thor, I highly suggest reading Full Black or Black List first. You will be spellbound and unable to put the book down. Reading Hidden Order I did learn information about the Federal Reserve which is factual, and which I found very unsettling. Forbes magazine quoted in April 2014 issue that "The Federal Reserve is the most powerful agency in Washington, yet it has a fraction of the oversight that our intelligence agencies, including the NSA, have and Congress doesn't even hold the power of the purse over the Fed. The agency gets its operating money not from congressional appropriation but from the interest it gets on bonds, which it buys with money it creates out of thin air." Thor's writings mirror some of the stirrings and political challenges and issues that are going on in Washington and these two books (FB and BL) will leave you wondering if it's really fiction, or a wake up call that some of this is actually happening and we can't do anything about it.
