The Kyrie and Gloria were thought to be the only surviving movements until the rest of the mass was found by Barbara Przybyszewska-Jarminska after the Berlin Wall fell in 1989. This is the first complete recording of the work from her edition, and it is complemented by the other selections, which are consistent in their pure 16th century counterpoint and performed with luminous sound and sublime clarity by The Sixteen, led by Eamonn Dougan, who has curated this series.
