There are so many books and blogs and advice columns on how to lose weight. It is hard to live in this information-at-your-fingertips overloaded world and not feel confused by all the information out there. So many doctors and lay people telling us the right way to do things and the things we should never do, until another expert comes along to say that the wrong way was actually the right way all along. None of those people are trying to be harmful or negative. They just want to help with the knowledge they have obtained over the years. I am not going to tell you what to do or what is right and wrong. This book is simply my journey to becoming a healthier and happier person. It is about how I am overcoming my food addiction to make myself feel better and healthier and about my struggles to stay on that healthier path. I use "overcoming" instead of "overcame" because this is an ongoing, daily choice. My hope is that if you are unhappy with your weight and/or your health, something you read here will start you on your own journey to being happier and healthier. Because it only took one thing for me to change my mindset and start me down a healthier path.
