For sewers willing to invest a great deal of time and money (to get an admittedly fabulous result), this is a very instructive book. For the home sewer hoping to obtain a good result with materials more widely available in her neighborhood (perhaps small-town) store at a lower cost, it offers ideas that can (perhaps) be modified. I found it simultaneously exciting and intimidating.
