Used: Acceptable. Size: 24.2 x 21.6 x 1.8 cm; PAPERBACK. Condition good. Isbn 1-84323-203-0, 1843232030. Heart of the Country juxtaposes extracts from Condry's columns with spectacular photographs of those places that Moore sees as encapsulating the essence of the beautiful and bold Welsh countryside, and the essence of a great Chronicler and Lover of Wales. About the Author William Condry (1918-1998) was born in Birmingham but moved to Wales in 1946, and settled in Ceredigion in 1959. He was a regular contributor to Nature in Wales magazine and wrote 14 major books. In a tribute to him in 1998 the Daily Telegraph described him as "one of the finest British writers on natural history this century". Jeremy Moore was born in Lincolnshire in 1953 and after graduation he worked in countryside management and conservation before concentrating on photography. He is still active in environmental circles in the Aberystwyth area, where he has lived for over 20 years. His photographs have been exhibited in a number of private and public collections, including the National Library of Wales, the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and Ceredigion Museum.
