"Is It Any Wonder?" "Why Don't You Believe Me?" "How Important Can It Be?" "Where Is That Someone for Me?" and "Have You Heard?." In 2002-2003, the Collector's Classics label reissued about 14 of Joni James' more than 20 MGM albums produced between 1953-1965, along with a fabulous 42-track sampler of that catalog titled Platinum & Gold. Living Era's excellent compilation is every bit as satisfying as Platinum & Gold, qualitatively if not quantitatively. A gifted pop singer who successfully interpreted songs that also served as jazz standards during the 1950s and early '60s, Joni James would be a smart choice for anyone who wants to learn such melodies or who'd simply like to relax and hear a pretty voice doing wonderful things. ~ arwulf arwulf, Rovi
