Manara loves the female form
Milo Manara's drawings of a young adult girl who finds an enchanted boat that takes her to strange lands are both tantalizing and lyrical. The story is based on Gulliver's Travels and her first stop with the Lilliputans is most elaborate in story and drawings. The scantily clad heroine then heads to two more enchanted lands before the boat takes her home. Not overly graphic, but the Gullivera is clearly an adult fairy tale with R rated drawings. Milo obviously loves the female form and is a masterful artist in the cartoon genre. A combination of naughty and sweet in delicate balance. A simple story, some might have been lost in translation, but still very enjoyable. Tends to leave one wanting more.
