One of three volumes in Time Life's Guitar Rock series (not including the original two-disc set titled simply Guitar Rock), Guitar Rock: Power Rock plays like poorly segued album-rock radio -- the songs and artists are generally familiar and of high quality, but the mix of sounds and styles doesn't seem to make much sense when viewed as a whole, and the sudden musical shifts from track to track can be jarring if you expect continuity.
