One of three volumes in Time Life's Guitar Rock series (not including the original two-disc set titled simply Guitar Rock), Guitar Rock: Guitar Power features a selection of songs, mostly from the '80s, that one may or may not associate with the concept of "guitar power." It isn't that the music is bad; in fact, there are a ton of great singles here, including the Stray Cats' "Rock This Town," Blondie's "One Way or Another," Sweet's "Ballroom Blitz," Run-D.M.C.'s "Walk This Way," and Jefferson Starship's "We Built This City."
