Seemingly from out of nowhere comes this awesome 1st novel that combines sci-fi, slipstream, surrealism and even the kitchen sink coupled with and incredible use of language all rolled into a spectacular tale. While this reviewer found it difficult to be emotionally invested in the main characters due to their extreme wealth and lifestyle, the reader wants to keep turning the pages to find out what happens next and just how the author will describe it. As for plot, think Romeo and Juiet as it it had been written by Jonathan Lethem while constantly staring at Salvador Dali paintings. This is a very fast read and a great way to spend a little time in the warped near future world. Definitley a wild debut from an author to keep an eye on.
