Very good in good jacket. Cloth in pictorial dust jacket, book very good but almost all the photo plates are foxed, as are facing pages of text. Jacket is good with some wear, chipping, tears, and substantial loss to top edge of rear panel. 332 pp. After graduating from Yale, the author set out with some friends in a boat to Polynesia. He was a direct descendant of the founder of Dodd, Mead and worked in the publishing house as well. Rare in the trade.
