I've been looking for this book for a couple of years as I'm doing some research into his time with Annie Horniman and the setting upof the First Repertory Theatre in Manchester UK in the ealy 1900's.
This volume is highly informative with both academic content and a generous helping of theatrical gossip. The letters, articles and private thoughts are an excellent source of information/detail on this great man of the theatre. He provides a large number of pieces of the late 19th and early 20th century theatre jigsaw Highly reccommended,
