Vimy Ridge Battle, April 1917: Percival Twidale, a soldier in the First Canadian Division, was in the first group to go over the trenches and charge up the ridge. Four hours later his division achieved their objective. Though wounded, Percy managed to escort several German prisoners down the ridge to the base head- quarters before he was sent to the hospital.
