The arrival of Covid-19 at the turn of 2019-20 put paid to any travel until July 2020. By that time, I had made some hotel bookings and a provisional arrangement to fly from Plockton to Skye and so I decided to travel right up the west coast, visiting places I had meant to visit but never before managed. It turned into a tour around (most of) the northern coasts of Scotland and a run back down through the Central highlands.
