These counties also have similar demographics and economies which make them suitable for a comparative analysis to be conducted. A large amount of finance has been invested in sport in Ireland over the last decade and this has seen some changes in the sporting infrastructure within the country. New Zealand has also invested heavily in the sport sector and the purpose of the comparative analysis will be to critically examine these changes and evaluate their success or failure.
