' Handwritten signed letter loosely inserted from Lindsay Newman to Marie-Luise Waldeck written on headed notepaper from The Malkin Press, 7 Cheseman Street, London SE26 4RA dated 2. x. 84 and consisting of about 68 words in which Newman encloses the book and provides details concerning its production and says her stationery was printed to her design. Waldeck, a German scholar, has written 'Thanked briefly 10. x. 84' at the top of the letter. In 1974, Lindsay Mary Newman (born 1934), Assistant Librarian at Lancaster University, gave the seventh Annual Gordon Craig Memorial Lecture in Venice. She published this account of the designs, manuscripts, and other original documents of Edward Gordon Craig, C.H. (1872 &endash; 1966) as a result of her research.
