Even after listening to Goodfellas, it's unclear whether the 504 Boyz are an actual group or whether this is just another No Limit sampler. Either way, this album certainly plays like the latter, as innumerable rappers trade verses here to assembly-line quality Dirty South productions. Either way, this album certainly plays like the latter, as innumerable rappers trade verses here to assembly-line quality Dirty South productions. In the end, this is just another No Limit album, and whether the 504 Boyz are supposed to be an actual group like, say, Tru or Ghetto Commission, it really doesn't matter -- album or compilation, if it's a late-'90s No Limit release, it's essentially a label sampler.
