Although the fidelity is a little shaky, Fine Tunes' The Gold Collection: King of Ragtime is an acceptable budget-priced sampler of Scott Joplin's classic ragtime stylings. It isn't clear where, when, or for whom these recordings were made, but the fidelity isn't too bad and the music is strong, featuring such familiar items as "The Entertainer," "The Ragtime Dance," "Fig Leaf Rag" and "Maple Leaf Rag."
