Julia Cameron has the knack of being both seriously spiritual and seriously funny at the same time, often in the same sentence. A friend lent me his copy of God Is No Laughing Matter (a very misleading title by the way, as Ms. Cameron repeatedly demonstrates the humor to be found in a belief in a Higher Power, no matter what you name it) and I had to buy my own copy. Then, as I told other friends how helpful it had been to me, their interest made me want to buy them their own copies. It's money very well spent. As a person who grew up with all the anger and ponishing nature of an Old Testament God, learning about God as a source of love, peace, and serenity has been a true life changer.
