Seller's Description:
Very Good in Very Good jacket. First edition. Small octavo. Red cloth stamped in gilt. Owner Christmas gift label affixed on front fly, light foxing on page edges and rear endpapers, very good in an edgeworn and toned, about very good dust jacket with chips and tears, and approximately a 1½ inch chip on the rear panel.
Excellent book regarding Biblical principles on church finances, worship, ministry and concern for others in need. Although this book was written in 1927, it is amazingly visionary. Harold Bell Wright's vision of worship includes these words, "the words of the hymn (songs) appeared in letters of light in a panel above the pulpit. ....... The people, as they stood, merely lifted up their eyes and sang." Written over 80 years ago but is a very realistic description of worship in the church today. A book that is intriqueing and hard to put down once the reader gets into the story.

History Repeats Itself
God and the Grocery Man was an excellent book. It struck me that the problems at the time the book was written (early 1900s) are still the same as today. It also makes me realize the solution to our problems are the same... You must read the book!
