This is the story of a 15-year-old American drug addict. Based on the pages of her diary, it tells how Alice discovered drugs, sex and the kind of freedom her parents only disapproved of. Sometimes she worries about what is happening to her; sometimes she resorts to subterfuge to avoid worrying her family; and sometimes she confides all her anxieties, joys and sorrows to the one friend she can trust - her diary.

Go Ask Alice is an amazing story that is passed on a real person's diary. The poor girl in this story gets hooked on acid, which is possible to do, I know people who have been there before, and trys so hard to get past it. The story leaves you hanging in the end and leads you to believe that the narrorator kills herself after everything that she has been through. This book is a good read, and i have read it over and over agian.

Oh My God
This book....is dramatic beyond all means. One minute the girl is up the next shes down and going further. She gets tricked into taking the drugs and it turns out to be so ironic it will blow your mind. This book would be on the top 10 of my life along with No Lifeguard on Duty, and The Five People you Meet in Heaven. So if you are considering reading this "just do it"<-like the nike slogan!
