Rachel Marie Martin has done it again! As with her first two books, I found Get Your Spark Back to be inspiring, empowering and challenging. As I read each page, I felt as though I was sitting down with a friend. She connects so well with readers through her personal stories, questions and inspirational comments.
This book is a call to action. It is a guide to discover untapped dreams and passions, identify roadblocks (both internal and external) and create a plan to live your life to the fullest by engaging in what stokes your soul's fire. It is simple, yet deep. Encouraging, yet she doesn't allow for excuses. At the end of each chapter, she includes "fire starters." These action items help readers to continue moving forward in the process of finding their spark. I found them to be so helpful.
When I started this book, I honestly didn't think that I had really lost my spark. As I read, I started to recognize dreams that I had set aside in order to keep life moving in the right direction. I finished this book feeling excited and motivated to move forward with a few things that I dismissed earlier in life.
