George Bryan (1731-1791), considered a radical for independence, was the second Governor of Pennsylania after the Declaration of Independence, aPennsylvania Supreme Court Justice and an early abolitionist. He was an advocate of a unicameral legislature and on that basis opposed the adoption oif the federal Constitution.
