Extreme members D'Extra Wiley, Randy Gill (Johnny Gill's brother) and Jermaine Mickey may employ some hip-hop terminology, but the full-bodied, gospel-influenced lead vocals and big harmonies owe a major debt to the classic soul music of the 1970s. Although cuts like "Lyin' Here Thinkin'," "Seasons (Of Love)," and "If I Knew Then (What I Know Now") aren't terribly original or very distinctive, they're sincere and soulful. ~ Alex Henderson, Rovi
