It is filled with memories of abuse, abandonment, and the quiet cries that no one would listen to until now. Seemingly simple days, filled with dark feelings, are expressed with ease; and as each author takes a breath and steps back to look at their strengths that grew out of feeling alone, we can see that they have risen out of their challenges with reflective pride and humility.
