Unless a die hard fan of Howe's poetry then this book should be rather dull. There is a nice introduction as to why Howe wishes for her early work to stay in print. Howe comes across as having a large ego. Her poety is more than dull, its lifeless. When reading aloud the words come across as dead. Poetry should be exciting. I was not impressed by this early collection.
