By any standard Eric Liddell was was a remarkable man. In our time little attention is given to those of Christian character and conviction. Liddell was an almost unbelievable athlete but to him that was not what his life was about. He rightly believed that living out his Christian faith was his duty and privilege. He appreciated his God given athletic ability, but understood that it was secondary to his opportunity and responsibility to glorify his Lord and Savior. We are blessed in having Duncan Campbell's accurate and appreciative record of a life well lived.
