I love listening to Rosemary Clooney and she is in her prime on these recordings. There is good variety on this cd: the romantic ballads that pull at your heartstrings (I'll Be Seeing You, For All We know) and some humorous songs we don't hear so often (They're Either Too Young or Too Old, Don't Fence Me In, The White Cliffs of Dover). I love the instrumentalists on this cd and I would have given it 5 stars if there wasn't a string section here and there. Not necessary, producers. These great songs, wonderful small ensemble players, and Rosemary Clooney, don't need a syrupy string section to make these songs work. Overall, though, I love this cd and find myself listening to it often.
