The movie is okay, not great. I may have expected too much based on other peoples' reviews. I heard the play showing in the 1970's was superb. Maybe it is Tyler Perry's direction. He should stick with Madea, I guess. The characters seemed to be a little cliched and "ripped from other movies," in some scenes. I felt it was a hodgepodge of movies I'd watched before. It is not insufferable to watch, though.
