Flying squirrels glide, hide, hurry, and hunt from tree to tree in search of food. Waking up only at night, these nocturnal mammals search for berries and nuts to eat. Although they are called flying squirrels, they don't fly the same way a bird does. Instead, they use large flaps of skin to glide just like a hang glider.
