Excellent book about the war with Japan in the Pacific, giving a perspective I haven't read about before this book. It's difficult to understand the Japanese attitude towards and treatment of American (and other) prisoners. It brings into sharp contrast our conduct in leading the effort to rebuid post-war Japan.
