First We Have Coffee is one of my all time favorite books. Margaret Jensen has a unique storytelling style that brings the reader back to the days when Margaret was a child. I have purchased several copies of this book for gifts and my friends have enjoyed them as well.

Family, faith, and work ethic
You do not have to be of Scandinavian descent to enjoy, and to be enriched by, this book. Warm, love-filled tales of survival as a family goes through good times and bad. We can all take inspriation and encouragement through the author's mother, Elvine.
