Good. Book. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall. Brown cloth, accents in black, lettered in gilt. The first volume of Spencer's Synthetic Philosophy. Mild exterior wear, sunned spine panel, 1/4" strip of loss at head of spine and a bit frayed at heel. Text block edges somewhat toned by age. Hinges show old tape scarring, now mended with archival glue and firm. Former owner's signature and date on front pastedown, another signature marked through on front flyleaf, otherwise unmarked. xx, 566, 8, [2] pp. Early printing, reasonably preserved.
