While this book (and subject) is incredibly boring, It is the text for the required class on health care management. It does provide the student with the necessary input on compiling, documenting, presenting and understanding the significant data needed to successfully manage a healthcare organization. Without this knowledge and ability to read the myriad of charts, graphs, spread sheets, etc. the successful financial over site and control of any healthcare organization is not possible.
