A two-disc set from ARC records (essentially a budget ethnic label) making use of mariachi and folk songs from two groups: De Norte a Sur (actually a duo with guest artists) and Trio Azteca (with guest artists). The tracks alternate between bands over the course of a number of folk songs. The songs are performed relatively well in general, though the addition of Hossam Ramzy's tabla doesn't necessarily fit as apparently hoped by Ramzy (who also did the production work and apparently thought it a good idea to add his own percussion into the mix), as the tone is generally one of a traditional nature, which is thrown by the addition.
