Seller's Description:
Very good. If one is fascinated or enthralled or simply a fan of the Ferrari marque, then this is a read, for you...There have been many a book written on this particular car-The 250 Gran Turismo berlinetta Competition, GTO; This is one of the better publications having been printed. Both author's are well read, well sourced, and very knowledgeable of their subject manner [both have been in the Ferrari world for years, and Pourett is/was a GTO owner]. Although this publication was printed in 1998, [excluding the GTO Registry being abit outdated] the materials presented is still very much up-to-date, and is still an excellent read...This book is the history, development, and story of Mr. Ferrari's most recognizable car, from Maranello-The 250 GTO. It is a well written book and the pictures alone, make it worth your while to track down a copy, for your library. If you love cars, or enjoy automotive history, or can't get enough of those Ferrari's, or like me, the-arm-chair-historian, this is a book you'll enjoy. Other then one or two other volumes about the 250 GTO, this one is still a hard one to beat. If you want to read/understand the 250's mystic, I strongly recommend this book, along with two others-Both OP's [out-of-print]. They are "Ferrari 250GTO 1962-64; Competition berlinetta", by David Clarke, and "Ferrari 250 GT Competition Cars", by Jess G. Pourret [1st or 2nd editions]. Both are excellent and well written, and have a ton of historical photographs within the covers. 'Yes', both can be very pricey-But, reasonable priced copies are still out there...If one doesn't care for Ferrari's, or for that matter the 250 GTO, then don't waste your time on this book. But, if you like or enjoy those Ferrari's, then this might be a book for you. ENJOY!
