As far as first steps go, Kevin Montgomery's Fear Nothing is on fairly solid footing. He's a little bit country, owing not in small part to the fact that his father wrote songs for Buddy Holly. And he's a little bit rock & roll, perhaps credited to his mother's role as Elvis Presley's backup singer. If he had leaned a little more toward one side or the other, they would have had a shot, though it's not a very likely bet they would've taken it.
