First edition, limited edition, one of only 100 copies signed and numbered by Guy Davenport and with a Meatyard photograph of Merton laid in, numbered 97/100 and noted on verso with estate stamp that the print is from the original 1967 Meatyard negative and printed in 1990 by his son Christopher. Photograph is approximately 8 x 10 inches (sheet size). Book is in full green cloth, gilt spine title, in publisher's gilt titled matching slipcase, no dust jacket as issued. The book itself has a bit of spotting to first few, and last few leaves, including the frontispiece and Meatyard portrait, but the remaining plates are fine. Signed and numbered on the colophon by Guy Davenport.
