More importantly, these are largely performed in a live setting, which allows the duo to engage in stage banter and one-upmanship, as when "18 Wheels on a Big Rig" turns into a counting contest -- in Roman numerals (!). Trout Fishing also includes a few of their "grown-up" tunes on the album; these aren't anything that children can't listen to as well, but frankly, these songs just aren't as compelling.
