One of the lesser known works about India by the eminent Victorian explorer Sir Richard Francis Burton, Falconry in the Valley of Indus is not just a book on the once-popular sport of falconry, it is a significant recording of the culture of Sindh. This is Captain Burton covering a little known subject excellently. The book is full of anecdotes and detailed explanations with Burton's notes almost a book in themselves. all in all, the book is a great side trip with the greatest explorer of his day.
