Fade has something entirely unique and new and I read it in 3 hours and gave it to my boyfriend who stayed up that night until he finished it. Mills created an intensely flawed character to play Fade. He was full of anger and bitterness and righteous indignation. As the book progresses, so does Fade. This book has several laugh out loud and hold your stomache scenes and one liners. It is rare indeed to find such an accomplished suspense writer like Mills, who knows how to weave this love story and yet also have such a strong thread of laughter and self deprecation that by the end your just shaking your head and smiling. I was also surprised that the author ended the book in a great way. I wondered how in the world all that momentum was going to find an outlet. A must read on my list.
Kyle Mills is a master story teller and "Storming Heaven" was a fantastic read too.
