In spite of its superb arrangement and production, the quiet-storm classic peaked at number four after 24 healthy weeks on the charts even though it was worthy of a number-one ranking. The follow-up single, "Shoot 'em Up Movies," has an arrangement that is reminiscent of the golden doo wop era.
