This story seemed a bit off beat to me, with Lucas starting out as "unemployed," and winding up with an offer to be a US Marshal. It does make me want to read the next in the series.

John Sandford, as usual
Like all this mans books - it was to me outstanding. From beginning through the body of the book to the end, non-stop action. Mr. Sandford's main man Davenport is headed to new level. Enjoy the ride.
